"After spending hours watching countless Youtube videos on resin casting and mould making, I was feeling overwhelmed and under-confident. By sheer chance I stumbled across the plastik-surgery website and without hesitating ordered the handbook. In all honesty I don't think I could of made a better decision, the book is clear and concise and contains a wealth of information that you just don't get from the internet. I can without doubt say that without this book I would still be sat down, scratching my head, getting distracted by cat videos. Instead, I'm making the models that I have always wanted, that in the past would never get further than a drawing in my sketchbook.
If you have ever wanted to get started making resin toys I have three words of advice.... Buy This Book!"
"Matt's Pictoplasma workshop was a super intro to resin model making. Really fun learning the process of making a mould and casting my character in resin, proper hands on. So much fun we had to run home with the leftover stuff and do more that night."

Handbook / Workshop Testimonial:
Lunartik's Plastik Surgery Handbook and Pictoplasma workshop has been amazing help for casting resin figures. The book gives a really thorough step-by-step explanation and is covered with Matt's cool illustrations to explain so you can't go wrong. This has been far more helpful and valuable than trying to watch through a million Youtube videos of various quality and I am currently casting Angry Ducks using the Handbook as a bible. Really helpful if you want to make your own resin toys!

Matt's superb resin workshop at Pictoplasma was my first foray into resin casting. We still use the basics of what he taught me all those years ago when crafting our bootleggy creations at Triclops towers.
He made a potentially scary and messy business less stressful and his practical guidance took the hit and miss quota right down! Can't recomend him highly enough as mentor, friend and all round good egg. If you've always wanted to try making your own resin toys, you could do much worse than reading his 'Plastik Surgery' guide, by reading Delia Smith's 'How to Cook' for example.

Online Session Testimonial:
"Last week I had a very informative meeting over the world wide web with Matt Lunartik Jones. He showed me how to make casts of some heads that I have made as a little street art project, from the making of the rubber moulds, right through to casting with resin. I have never used Skype before and I don't think the lesson could've been any better than it was, even if Matt was sitting right in front of me! This way I could have an awesome lesson off a really talented guy without having to even leave the comfort of my own home! Matt made it so easy, giving clear instructions on how to do even the slightest thing every step of the way, holding moulds and casts up to the camera for him to inspect and tell me whether to go for it or not. I would highly recommend any sort of learning experience this way especially casting with Lunartik himself! I thoroughly enjoyed learning this new way of working and have become slightly obsessed with making my casts."
